Point Beach 35 Lakewood 32

Point Beach held on to the three-point victory over Lakewood at home on Friday night, for the program’s first win in over a year.

Artie LoGuidice saved the win late in the fourth with a fumble recovery, his second of the game, in the end zone to push Beach head 35-32. But it was Dawson MacPherson that led the Garnet Gulls down the field on all scoring plays, setting up his teammates for multiple touchdowns, along with the fumble recovery on a Lakewood pile push during one of the final plays of the night.

Quarterback and defensive back Joe Beley finished the night with a four-yard touchdown run to open the second and found Connor DeLorenzo deep for the 53-yard score later in the quarter. Beley also had two, two-point conversions in the win and had a pick-six.
