BRADLEY BEACH — The Bradley Youth Community Club (BYCC), a civic engagement initiative within the Bradley Beach Business Community Alliance will partner with the Bradley Beach Public Library and the elementary school to launch a student mentorship program.

The program will begin this fall and run through May 2022, providing one on-one support for Bradley Beach elementary school (BBES) students in grades five to eight.

The student and mentor will meet once per week for no longer than one hour at the library.

Barb Kenny, the Bradley Youth Community Club (BYCC) volunteer leader will spearhead the program. “This is a way of including the children, in community events,” said Ms. Kenny.

“As of now we have a wonderful pool of protentional mentors. Were still in the process of interviewing, screening, fingerprinting and training them right now, but it seems like we have a great pool of mentors.”
