More borough library events planned during August

POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Borough Library has made registration available for several activities for adults, young adults and children. 

On Monday, Aug. 23, a second Adult Take and Make will be held. This time community members 18 and over can craft their own pet rock with this take and make craft. Available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.

Patio Storytime with Miss Cindy will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 10 or 11 a.m. for children ages 2 to 6. Please note that chairs will not be provided, but you are welcome to bring a towel to sit on. To practice social distancing guidelines only so many participants will be accommodated. Be sure to register as walk-ins are not being accepted at this time.

Twilight Patio Storytime with Miss Cindy will be held Thursday, Aug. 19 at 6:30 p.m. for children ages 2 to 6. Please note that chairs will not be provided, but you are welcome to bring a towel to sit on. To practice social distancing guidelines only so many participants will be accommodated. The third Kids Take and Make program, Magic Color Scratch Colored Bookmark, is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 20. Children can design a bookmark that reflects their unique style. Use the included scratching tool to create a fun design while revealing the bright rainbow of colors beneath the surface. Available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.

The final Kids Take and Make program will be held on Thursday, Aug. 26 and is called Fish Gliders. If you’ve ever wanted to see fish fly, now’s your chance. These cute glider toys look like smiling fish and are fun to watch glide. Simple assembly required. Available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
