LAKE COMO — The Lake Como Council held a public hearing for the $3.8 million 2021 municipal budget and passed a resolution amending the budget.
Borough Administrator Louise Mekosh said, “We were notified by the state when we did our budget review that the amounts we had in our budget for the PERS [Public Employees Retirement System] were the preliminary numbers and what we have now are the updated numbers.”
Even with the amendment, the municipal budget will carry no increase in borough taxes for 2021.
The $3,845,210 budget is an increase of $144,366 from the previous year.
