Annual PTO plans townwide garage sale for May 15

POINT PLEASANT BEACH — The Point Pleasant Beach High School Parent Teacher Organization will hold its annual spring town-wide garage sale on May 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The popular event brings sales throughout Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head and Mantoloking all to raise money for the group for their future projects.

Registration is $25, which goes toward the group to support Project Graduation and Senior Scholarships.

The PTO is looking for participants for this year’s sales. Registration is available at or by visiting

The PTO will provide a map of participants, via a smartphone or computer, by posting a QR code on its Facebook page.

Participants who register by May 12 will receive a lawn sign and be on the map. Late registrations will not be on the map. Map codes will also be available at Antrim Elementary School and Point Pleasant Beach High School.

Last year, the group was glad they were able to hold the event despite challenges due to COVID-19.

“There are very few fundraisers that can happen because of so many restrictions, so we felt that it was important to get this fundraiser out there,” said organizer Elizabeth McLoughlin.

The group will still follow COVID-19 regulations like social distancing.

The PTO will once again be stationed at Antrim Elementary School with its trailer to sell Point Beach merchandise.

Last year, well over $1,000 was raised from the yard sale.
