BRICK TOWNSHIP — A third Brick Township man has been charged with retaliation against a witness and making terroristic threats against a local law enforcement officer, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced on Friday, April 2.

On March 29, a Brick Township detective reported receiving threatening phone calls and text messages on his department-issued cell phone. According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation conducted by its Major Crime and High Tech Crime units traced the calls and text messages to the cell phone of Anthony Chieffo, 25.

Major Crime Unit detectives subsequently stopped a motor vehicle occupied by Mr. Chieffo and Alexander Santos, 22, on March 30. Both men were arrested on charges of retaliation against a witness and three counts of terroristic threats, and lodged in Ocean County Jail.

However, the charges against Mr. Santos have been dropped, following the April 1 arrest of Connor White, 22, on identical charges.
