BAY HEAD — Work is expected to commence next week on the long-anticipated Bayberry Lane, Egbert Street and Club Drive Road Improvement Project.
According to a notice posted to the borough website on March 30, APCO Paving Co. will begin performing milling, paving and removal and replacement of curb and sidewalk on the streets beginning on or about April 5.
The borough council awarded the contract to APCO Paving Co., in the amount of $138,392, during its February meeting. The project, funded through a $130,000 New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid Grant, will continue through approximately April 30.
“All work is weather permitting and delays may occur. Residents in that area may be asked to remove vehicles from your driveway by 7 a.m. each morning to facilitate the progress of this project and limit interruptions during construction,” the notice reads.
“Residents of that area may park [their] vehicle on side streets during construction. You may drive on the street and into your driveway at the end of the day when work has completed. Roadway access and access to individual driveways will be maintained with minor interruptions. The police representative will be notified of these arrangements. Please plan accordingly. We greatly appreciate your assistance and cooperation.”
