Lake Como Council to use services of Belmar’s new First Aid Squad

LAKE COMO — The Lake Como Council passed a resolution amending their police contract to include the use of Belmar’s new First Aid Squad and EMS services.

The amendment of this resolution will see Lake Como take on 25 percent of the first aid squad’s non-beach operation budget.

According to the Lake Como officials, the borough were previously paying $30,000 a year for first aid services.

Lake Como will be using the services of Belmar’s new First Aid Squad as a test case and in the amended contract, each party has the right to cancel services provided by the addendum for any or no reason providing the non-cancelling party has at least six months written notice of the termination and is strictly limited to EMS and First Aid services only.
