Woman’s Club of Manasquan collecting winter coats

MANASQUAN — The Woman’s Club of Manasquan is sponsoring a coat drive this winter season to benefit the statewide Jersey Cares Coat Drive.

Members of the Woman’s Club will be collecting gently used, warm winter coats on Saturday, Dec. 5 from noon to 4 p.m. at the group’s club house located at 62 Main St.

From now until Dec. 5, donations can also be dropped off in a collection box outside the Manasquan Public Library located at 55 Broad St.

According to Jersey Cares website, the organization has held a coat drive for the past 24 years to benefit thousands of men, women, children and infants in need. Last year, the organization collected more than 20,000 coats with help from companies, churches, police stations, schools and other organizations throughout the state.

Also on Dec. 5, the Woman’s Club will be collecting blankets, towels and sheets for the Monmouth County SPCA.
