Drug arrest made following vehicle stop

BRICK TOWNSHIP — Street Crimes Unit [SCU] detectives from the township police department arrested a 28-year-old Brick resident on drug charges following a motor vehicle stop Thursday, Nov. 12, according to a police announcement released Nov. 19.

The detectives stopped Demetrius Baynard in the area of Fairfield and Lynwood avenues with the assistance of Officer Chris Newlund from the patrol division, according to the department, which claimed Mr. Baynard was found with approximately 11 grams of crack cocaine packaged for resale, a digital scale, six Xanax pills and $570 in assorted bills.
