MANTOLOKING — The borough reviewed and accepted its 2019 audit report during the council meeting on Oct. 20. Auditors had no findings in the final report.

Councilman Tony Amarante presented the report to the council during the meeting, echoing this outcome.

“Myself, the mayor, Council President Gillingham and our CFO sat with the auditors regarding that report,” said Mr. Amarante. “It was a clean audit and the township is in very good shape.”

According to Mr. Amarante, the auditors had minor footnotes on ways to clean up some borough processes, but he said the notes didn’t even “deserve a comment.”

Mr. Amarante thanked the borough staff for their hard work throughout the audit process.

Mayor Lance White echoed Mr. Amarante’s praise for borough employees and congratulated the borough on a clean report.

“From the auditor, when you get a no-comment report, that’s a really good thing,” said Mr. White.
