MANASQUAN — Manasquan High School is kicking off the season of gratitude with a new initiative designed to recognize teachers and staff for their hard work over the past few months.

The program, Thankful For You, was spearheaded by Manasquan High School Student Assistance Counselor Leigh Busco.

“The teachers and staff have been working so diligently and so hard making sure that the students’ education has not been compromised due to all these different new rules that are in place,” Ms. Busco said.

“I just want the teachers to know that we’re so grateful for them, their time and their effort … [and] to know that their hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed,” she said.

Ms. Busco added that she drew some inspiration for the program from a quote she had seen: “If you ever start questioning your worth as an educator, remember there would be no other professions without you.”

She noted that November is also a great time to remind ourselves of the positive things that are happening in our lives, and to show our appreciation for them, especially during these unprecedented times.
