LAVALLETTE — Republicans Anita Zalom and David Finter will continue to serve on the borough council for another three years each, according to the initial, unofficial results reported by the Ocean County Election Board. The candidates’ re-election, which was uncontested, will keep the borough’s governing body entirely Republican.
Ms. Zalom has served 30 years, or 10 full terms, on the borough council to date, and is now set to begin her 11th term. She currently serves as council president and member of the Friends of Lavallette Beautification Committee and the library, Community Development Block Grant, environmental, recreation and celebration of events committees.
Mr. Finter is now set to begin his third full term on the borough council, where he is a member of the ordinance committee, the municipal utility advisory committee and the environmental protection advisory committee.
