Manasquan Shade Tree Commission accepting fall orders

MANASQUAN — The Manasquan Shade Tree Commission is once again offering its resident tree-buying program this fall to keep the town green and tree-lined.

Manasquan residents may order as many trees as they’d like and can choose the planting location, with the exception of any borough right-of-way.

The commission’s price [$325] includes delivery and planting, which occurs in late-October. Trees are typically 10 to 12 feet tall at the time of delivery and guaranteed for one year.

Those who place an order should hold onto their checks and pay the nursery on the day of planting. Checks should be made payable to “Fernbrook Nursery.”

“Manasquan is a beautiful town that just happens to have a world-class beach. A huge part of that is our small-town feel provided by its tree lined streets,” said shade tree commission chairman Brian Mallin said.

To purchase a tree, email order forms to or call Mr. Mallin at 203-520-8230 by Friday, Oct. 23.
