$465,000 bond ordinance OKd for road, DPW improvements

LAVALLETTE — The borough council approved a bond ordinance for various capital improvements on borough streets during its meeting on Monday.

The ordinance appropriates $465,000, authorizing the issuance of $148,500, for improvements to New York Avenue as well as a few various projects around town.

Around $200,000 of the appropriation will be for New York Avenue road improvements, Mayor Walter LaCicero said.

The remaining $265,000 of the bond will go towards a number of projects including improvements at the Department of Public Works.
