Mayor Naughton, and councilmen Frost, Erbe re-elected


SPRING LAKE — Mayor Jennifer Naughton has secured her third term as the borough’s mayor along with council members David Frost and Joseph Erbe, who won re-election to the borough council. 

Mayor Naughton, a Democrat, is a life-long resident of the borough, She has lived in the borough with her husband Gary Ciliberto since 1994. They have two children, Nicholas and Elyse. 

Mayor Naughton received 597 votes or almost 98 percent of the vote. Her new term runs until 2024.

She said she will “continue to serve the residents of the town that I love, and ensure a vibrant and sustainable future for Spring Lake.”

Council members. Frost and Erbe, both Republicans, have secured their fourth and eighth terms, respectively, on the borough council. They will both serve until 2023.

Councilman Frost received 687 votes with Councilman Erbe receiving 699. Write-in candidates received 17 votes.
