LAVALLETTE — Pauly D, JWoww and Snooki may be reuniting with their fellow “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” housemates for a three-day staycation in Lavallette at the beginning of August. If so they will, of course, be bringing cameras.
At the July 22 borough council meeting, it was announced by Mayor Walter LaCicero that he received an email requesting that the cast could stay and film in the borough. The email was sent by producer A.J. Borges of 495 productions, which is the production company behind “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.”
Whether the company can film in public locations will be decided at the next council meeting on Monday, Aug. 5. Mayor LaCicero said he is letting residents know he received the email in advance of the next Monday night meeting because he wants them to “contemplate that over the next two weeks.”
“We cannot restrict what they do on private property. So, if they’re going to film in somebody’s house, there’s nothing that we have, really, to say about that. But if they intend to film on public locations then we have to approve that, and we have not done that,” he told The Ocean Star on Tuesday.
Municipal Clerk Donnelly Amico concurred with the mayor, saying “We’ve never prohibited it before.”
