SEA GIRT — About 100 fathers and daughters from the Sea Girt Elementary School community danced the night away for the annual Father Daughter Dance.

Forty-one dads and 55 daughters made their way to the Spring Lake Golf Club for the winter wonderland-themed dance on Sunday, Feb. 24.

Along with getting a chance to hang out with their friends outside of school and have fun, the event also plays songs for the dads and the daughters to dance together to throughout the evening.

To fulfill the theme of winter wonderland, the PTO members dug into their holiday decorations to make their perfect wonderland visions a reality, she said.

According to Ms. Perry, the PTO has never considered doing away with the dance as it is so popular.

“I think it is just such a special night for the dads and the daughters,” she said. “It’s become a tradition that they all look forward to.”
