Artisans Restaurant and Brewery, 1171 Hooper Ave., Toms River, makes their establishment unique not just through the brewery-meets-restaurant concept, but also through the feeling customers get when entering the front door.

According to Artisans’ website, when you walk in they want you to feel like family and to feel like you are walking into their home. Artisans crafts authentic homemade cuisine that includes a lunch and dinner menu with both daily lunch and dinner specials along with an early dinner menu, Sunday menu and gluten-free menu.
The dinner menu offers a little something for everyone with endless options including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free choices. Starters include seafood options such as Wild Sesame Tuna and two different types of calamari as well as jumbo buffalo wings, crispy brussels sprouts and mediterranean dips.
Salads range from traditional garden and caesar options to a crispy goat cheese salad made with Satur Farms mesclun, pistachio, roasted tomato and cabernet sauvignon vinaigrette. Soup choices include split pea, pasta fagioli and vegetarian cream of mushroom.

The menu caters to high quality ingredients and all the chicken breasts used in their salads, sandwiches and entrees are antibiotic, hormone and steroid-free, no animal byproducts, raised cage free and fed an all-vegetarian diet.
Sandwich options include the Chicken Supreme with sauteed peppers, onions and mushrooms, Chicken & Broccoli Rabe with broccoli rabe, garlic and evoo and a Bratwurst Sandwich made with Schmalz’ bratwurst on a pretzel roll with caramelized onions and house mustard.
The expansive menu continues with a wide array of pasta, entrees, burgers and pizza options. Gnocchi Sugo di Bolognese is made with housemade ricotta gnocchi, beef bolognese with a touch of cream and pecorino.
Entree options include Greek and Italian favorites like Eggplant and Chicken Parmigiano, Chicken Scarpariello, Spinach Pie and Grilled Italian Sausage.
At Artisans Brewery, where “beer is art,” there are always six fresh brews on tap. Similar to the cuisine menu, the brewery prides itself on using high quality ingredients as well. According to the site, the brewmaster hand selects hops and malted barley solely from quality suppliers.
All of the beers are handcrafted in the on-premises brewery and are made from the brewmaster’s own recipes. A variety of traditional beers as well as more distinctive specialty ales and lagers are proudly brewed.
The brewery’s regular beers on tap are the Light Ale, West Coast IPA and Irish Red Ale along with three seasonal selections. Some seasonal brews include Artisans’ Jersey Shore IPA , New Hop ESB, Cream Light Ale and more.
