A flurry of holiday festivities in Point Pleasant

POINT PLEASANT — The borough will celebrate the Christmas season with a program of nonstop holiday activities for the community.On Friday,

Dec. 8, residents can join the mayor and council for the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Community Park on Bridge Avenue. At 5:30 p.m. residents can dance and sing along to performances by local groups. At 6:30 p.m. the Christmas tree will be lit and Santa Claus arrives. A barbershop chorus singing old-time melodies and horse and carriage rides will also be featured. 

On Dec. 8, between 5 and 9 p.m., the first annual Market in the Park will take place in Community Park, featuring holiday shopping and food trucks, and An Old Fashioned Christmas at Santa’s Workshop will take place Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9 and 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bennett Log Cabin at Riverfront Park.
