WALL TOWNSHIP — The Manasquan football team put the ball in the hands of a couple of seniors hungry for their first Thanksgiving Day victory against Wall on Thursday.
Tommy Antonucci helped lead the Warriors to a 20-6 victory against the Crimson Knights at Wall, breaking a three-game winning streak for the Crimson Knights against Manasquan.
The Warriors end their season with a record of 7-4, while Wall finishes at 5-6.
The game was a defensive battle during the first half with Manasquan taking a 7-6 lead.
The Warriors scored first on a Antonucci 3-yard run, sparked by a Rashid Tuddles interception. The Crimson Knights responded with a 10-yard touchdown run by Eddie Scott.
Manasquan picked up its game during the second half, getting some big runs by Connor Morgan to set up another touchdown run by Antonucci.
The Warriors closed out the scoring on a short touchdown run by Morgan.
Manasquan got a couple of key turnovers in the second half including a fumble recovery by Art Foreman and an interception by Jack Fabean to seal the victory.
