WALL — The Wall football team’s Thanksgiving Day winning streak ended at three after the team lost a tough, 20-6 game to Manasquan on Thursday morning.
Head coach Tony Grandinetti thought the Knights had plenty of opportunities but failed to capitalize on them in key moments against their rivals.
Eddie Scott, playing in his final game for Wall at quarterback, scored the Knights’ lone touchdown, a 10-yard run that cut the deficit to 7-6 late in the first half.
Manasquan went on to dominate the second half, receiving touchdown runs from quarterback Tommy Antonucci and running back Connor Morgan to grab a 20-6 lead.
The Knights tried to come from behind late, but two turnovers ended their comeback hopes and gave the Warriors the annual Thanksgiving trophy.
