LAKE COMO — The Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run will be returning to Lake Como this December for a day of festive fun and fundraising.
For the first time since 2013, runners and walkers alike will have the opportunity to lace up their sneakers — adorned with jingle bells — and take off to raise money for arthritis research.
The 5K race will begin at Bar Anticipation, 703 16th Ave., at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.
According to Emily Meyers, community development manager for the Arthritis Foundation and event organizer, the Jingle Bell Run brings people together to champion for a good cause.
“Jingle Bell Run is a great, fantastic, festive event,” Ms. Meyers said.
“A lot of our runners will get dressed up in their holiday garb, [and] every runner gets jingle bells to put on their shoes.”
Ms. Meyers said the foundation is anticipating about 500 runners this year, but the event is open to any and all who wish to participate.
“It’s not just for the serious runner,” Ms. Meyers said.
