BAYVILLE — Point Boro, Brick Township and Brick Memorial were all represented by seniors in the Ocean County Field Hockey All-Star game Monday night at Central Regional.
Team B South was able to take the 3-2 win over A South due to the game-winning goal scored by Point Boro’s Casey Blake with just 3:20 left to play.
“It’s a great honor to be playing tonight. To get the goal and get the win, especially with B South never winning before, it’s really a great honor,” said Blake.
Along with Blake, Morgan Mulvey, Erin Blisnuk, Halle Ferm and Carson Swisher represented Boro, as head coach Kelly Carr co-coached the B South team. “Our success during the season is what gave us the position to have five girls and myself coaching,” said Carr. “I was really happy … to be a part of their last game tonight.”
Kaylee Hoffman was the lone Dragon who represented Brick Township on defense. Dragons’ goalie Casey Paxton was selected as well but could not attend the game.
Tèa Ferrara and Sydney Iannarone both represented Brick Memorial at midfield and on defense.
