A Veterans Day salute from Antrim students

POINT PLEASANT BEACH — With Veterans Day this weekend, the students at G. Harold Antrim Elementary School took time out of their school day to thank those who fought, and are still fighting, to keep our country free.

On Nov. 8, students got a head start on Veterans Day by taking part in the school’s annual celebration in honor of veterans.

“For them to meet a veteran is a landmark in their heart that they could carry with them and maybe one day they could become one,” said Petty Officer John Babbini, who is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard at Station Manasquan Inlet.
