The Explorer Vision exhibit opens at Belmar Art Center

BELMAR — Dr. Kah-Wai Lin is showcasing his fine art photography collection, An Explorer Vision, at the Belmar Arts Center through Sept. 16.

“This is the collection of the images that I have taken in the past couple of years, mostly in the last two years, when I started my career as a full-time landscape photographer,” said Dr. Lin, who became full-time landscape photographer in March 2016, in which during that time he led photography workshops in Norway, Iceland, China, Sweden and Faroe Islands.

His workshops consists of anywhere from 8 to 14 days. “But I used to stay longer to take photos by myself … these are where my photos came from,” he said.

Dr. Lin said he loves being in the wilderness. “I have always been in love with the natural world and seek to re- veal the beauty of nature in ways that preserves its spirit. Many of these places that I visited are absolutely un- touched.”

Those interested in purchasing or viewing the collection can stop by the Belmar Arts Center, where the work will be on display until Sept. 16. Gallery hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Gallery admission and parking are free.
