MANTOLOKING — Officials anticipate wrapping up the Bay Avenue and Carpenter Lane roadway improvement project by the end of the month.
According to the latest municipal update, the project will be complete by Wednesday, Aug. 30.
The roadway improvement project was designed to mitigate flooding in the area of Bay Avenue and Carpenter Lane by raising the roadway.
At the lowest point in the roadway, the road will be raised approximately 8 inches and then tied into the existing grade of Arnold Street.
The project also includes roadway improvements, such as milling and paving, as well as the replacement of an outfall pipe on Bay Avenue, according to Chief Stacy Ferris.
In March, the borough awarded a $291,348.25 to Seacoast Construction to complete the project.
