Missing Brick woman located after a search


BRICK TOWNSHIP — A 71-year-old Brick woman with dementia was reunited with her family Friday after wandering off the previous day, police said.

By 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, Capt. Timothy Boyle reported that Nellie Llera had been located in Manhattan by the 10th Precinct and reunited with her family.

Ms. Llera had left her residence on 20th Avenue in Brick Township on foot at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, according to a press release from the Brick Township Police Department. Brick police asked the community to be on the lookout for the missing woman. She told a family member she was going to New York City where her mother had lived.

 Ms. Llera had wandered off in the past and was located previously in Wall Township.
