POINT PLEASANT BEACH — Rough surf hampered first responders searching to recover the body of a young swimmer who drowned early Sunday morning. A day-long search for Zuzana Oravcova, 24, ended in tragedy a few miles south of the beach off Jenkinson’s where she entered the water at around 2:15 a.m. to take a swim with a friend. “The water was so rough, there were five- to seven-foot waves breaking right off the beach, it was not safe to put anybody in the water,” said Chet Nesley, captain of the Point Pleasant Beach Dive Team, which joined in the search to recover Ms. Oravcova.
