Hiker’s remains are recovered

BRICK TOWNSHIP — New Hampshire authorities have confirmed they have found the body of a local hiker who has been missing since the end of June. The body of Alexander “Greg” Auriemma, 63, of Brick, was found July 20 at White Mountains National Forest in New Hampshire. Mr. Auriemma, an attorney, was reported missing on July 12 after he failed to return to his hostel in Conway, New Hampshire, while on a hiking trip. According to Lt. Bradley Morse, of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club discovered the remains of Mr. Auriemma 5.3 miles into the forest, around 1,400 feet away from his campsite.
