With two locations spanning Ocean County, Martell’s is a must for summer fun and memorable moments.

Known as the “Jersey Shore’s island getaway,” Martell’s, 308 Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach, strives to provide something for everyone who walks through the doors.

“Martell’s goal is to make our customers feel as if they are at an island getaway escaping the hustle and bustle of the daily routine,” said Michael Hull, assistant general manager at Martell’s Tiki Bar.

Martell’s outdoor Tiki Bar is a destination for refreshing drinks, delicious food, live entertainment and, of course, some fun in the sun.

“Martell’s features live entertainment twice a day from Memorial Day to Labor Day featuring a variety of bands that are sure to please,” said Hull.

Adhering to the theme of something for everyone, the food menu spans a plethora of categories. The Shrimp Bar inside Martell’s serves great seafood and a boardwalk staple, fresh squeezed lemonade.

If you’re a sushi fanatic look no further because Martell’s has that too. Stop into the grill inside Martell’s for a classic sausage sandwich or slice of pizza.

The beach is free to families on Tuesday so make it a family affair and enjoy the sand, sea and Martell’s all in one.

Martell’s Tiki Bar shakes up some signature cocktails like “Tiki Teas,” which feature Deep Eddy’s Iced Tea Flavored Vodka with pink lemonade. Crazed for fresh squeezed orange juice? Look no further because Tiki is known for it.

“Over the years Martells has become known for our fresh squeezed orange juice drinks, said Hull. This was started in 1992 and since then Martell’s has squeezed over six million oranges to keep up with the demand.”

It’s safe to say they’re on to something so make sure to sip on a fresh squeezed cocktail at the bar.

Just next to Martell’s Tiki Bar is Jake’s Crab House, which aims to serve up seafood specialties and, as a testament to the name, specifically delectable crabs.

Jake’s Crab House offers a variety of crabs including blue claws, snow crabs and king crab. Despite the fact that seafood is their specialty, all the land lovers can still find plenty more than seafood on the menu. Other menu options include burgers, ribs, barbecue chicken and salads.

According to Hull, aside from the great food, Jake’s also features a beautiful bar with plenty of TV’s so guests can catch a game while enjoying their meal.

Martell’s Waters Edge is located at 125 Bayview Ave. in Bayville, or due east of buoy 37 on the Barnegat Bay if you’re coming by boat. Martell’s Waters Edge is home to a full- service dining room, outdoor tiki bar and Ocean County’s premiere wedding destination. You can get to Waters Edge by car or boat because the establishment features a dock- and-dine service for all their boating customers.

“Our dining room is a combination of upscale and comfort food with an accent on seafood selections,” said Ed Brannagan, general manager of Martell’s Waters Edge.

Stop in to the bar Monday through Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. for a great happy hour that features discounted food along with beer and drink specials.

Martell’s and tiki bar are practically interchangeable words and Waters Edge features an outdoor tiki bar, as well.

“Our Tiki Bar outside has some of the best food and drinks and we also have the best happy hour on the Jersey Shore,” shared Branna- gan.

The deck menu offers the freshest in seafood selections like lobsters and crab legs.

Waters Edge also caters to live entertainment featuring some of the best local bands and entertainment seven days a week.

Planning a wedding? According to Brannagan, the facility is one of New Jersey’s premiere wed- ding destinations that offers a full service catering department that will customize any wedding or party to suit your needs.

Whether Point Pleasant boardwalk is one of your regular summer destinations or boating to Bayville is on your list of to- do’s, make sure one of Martell’s locations is on your list for some serious summer fun.
