LAVALLETTE — If you’re a part-time resident looking for a good book to take to the beach this summer, the Upper Shores Library has you covered.
With the summer season bringing in an influx of part-time residents from all over the state, the Upper Shores Library would like those residents to know there are temporary library cards available to allow them to access the library’s services.
“It’s just that we have the largest amount of people use them here of course in the summer because that is when we have a lot of nonresidents,” said June Schneider, branch manager of the Upper Shores Library, part of the Ocean County Library System.
When thousands of part-time residents make their way to their home away from home in the summer months, many also make the Upper Shores Library their library away from home. “We have a lot of people who take advantage of it,” Ms. Schneider said.
