WALL TOWNSHIP — The Wall Township Zoning Board of Adjustment approved an application to construct two, two-story additions for CareOne at Wall at the Wednesday, June 21 meeting.

The application put forth by the skilled nursing facility, located at 2621 Route 138, was originally put before the board on September 18, 2013, according to a Sept. 15, 2014 letter from Board Engineer Glenn Gerken, which was denied in its previous form.

The revised application now proposes two, two-story additions, one along Route 138 [B Wing] and one along the west side [A Wing].

Both additions will be be roughly 9,500 square feet per plate, with the same floor plan for the first and second floors, according to Angelo R. Caputo, the applicant’s architect.

The proposal includes the addition of 208 beds for both Skilled Nursing Facility [SNF] and Assisted Living Facility [ALF] patients, Mr. Caputo said. The new plan has also eliminated any road access from New Bedford Road, a previously proposed component of the plan, and the only access to the building will be from the existing opening on Route 138.

The plan also proposes 161 parking spaces, according to a June 23, 2016 letter from Mr. Gerken.
