WALL TOWNSHIP — The Wall High School [WHS] Class of 2017 celebrated with a commencement ceremony on Friday, June 16.

At 6:30 p.m. WHS seniors, clad in red and white gowns, filled the high school gymnasium, bustling with excitement as parents and friends looked on from the bleachers.

The choral presentation featured a rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror,” and speeches were given by several students encouraging their fellow students to follow their dreams as they move on from WHS.

Jeremy Ridley, Valedictorian, highlighted the theme of the graduation in his Valedictory Address, which was embodied by a Harriet Tubman quote: “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars and change the world.”

Members of the Wall Township Board of Education, Wall Township Committee, as well as the high school administration were present as the graduates moved their tassels from right to left, officially becoming the 2017 graduates.
