Ralph Lemmo

Funeral services for Ralph Carmen Lemmo, with family in Point Pleasant, were held Monday, July 2 in Cashner Colonial Chapel, Texas.

Ralph was born on Oct. 5, 1939 in Clifton to Charles and Josephine Lemmo and passed away June 27 in Conroe, Texas.

Ralph is preceded in death by his loving wife, soulmate and best friend of 28 years, Kathy Lemmo. Together they enjoyed traveling and found great pleasure in constantly striving to make everyone feel like family and upholding a tradition of cooking holiday meals together as one.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Kim Vance and husband David of San Mateo, Calif., and son, Charlie Lemmo and wife Shannon of Spring, Texas and grandchildren, Brandon Lemmo and Nathan Lemmo; sister, Clem Steele and husband Wayne of Point Pleasant.

Ralph worked as an electrician for 56 years. He enjoyed watching football and golf as well as barbequing out by the pool with his family.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 12 years, Helen Lenard of Conroe; daughter, and Jennifer Wilson Grimes of Conroe, Texas; sons, Christopher Wilson and wife Angie of Conroe, Texas, Brandon Wilson of Conroe, Texas, and Aaron Wilson and wife Stephanie of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Woodrow Grimes, Hayden Grimes, Ava Grimes, Aric Wilson, Amy Wilson, Gavin Wilson and Braeden Wilson. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Edna M. [Davies] Springsteen

Edna M. [Davies] Springsteen, 94, of Point Pleasant, died on Sunday, July 1 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. She was born in Jersey City, was raised in North Arlington and lived in Bay Head before moving to Point Pleasant in 1960.

She was employed as a secretary for over 25 years by Carlson’s Fisheries in Point Pleasant Beach. She attended the Holy Trinity Church in Manasquan.

Edna was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Edward Springsteen Jr. in 1983 and a brother Walter. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, Edward M. of Bay Head and Charles and his wife, Sarah of Bath, N.H.; five grandchildren, Todd and his wife Patty, Robin and her husband Tommy, Dawn, Scott and companion Stacy and Kelly; and ten great- grandchildren, Caitlyn, Loren, Justin, Ian, Erin, Dylan, Noah, Molly, Jade and AJ.

Interment is private. Colonial Funeral Home in Brick is in charge of arrangements.

Genevieve Stevens Dikun

Genevieve Stevens Dikun, 88, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Friday, June 29.

Born, Feb. 1, 1924 in Newark, to the late Denver and Anna Stevens, she was raised in Kearny and lived in North Arlington, moving to Point Pleasant in 1967.

Mrs. Dikun was employed in the late 1960’s and 1970’s at The Leader newspaper, Point Pleasant Beach, and was a communicant of Saint Peter R.C. Church, Point Pleasant Beach.

Surviving are her beloved husband, of 65 years, William; two sons, William Dikun and his wife Cindy and Robert Dikun and his wife Ellen, all of Point Pleasant; and three granddaughters, Elissa, Natalie, and Ava.

Funeral services and entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park were held privately under the direction of the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant.

Please no flowers. As an expression of sympathy, donations made in her memory to either the Point Boro First Aid Squad or to the Point Pleasant Borough Fire Department, would be appreciated.

Dr. Charles B. Grace Sr.

Dr. Charles B. Grace, Sr., 77, of Manchester, with family in Point Pleasant, passed away suddenly at his home, on Friday, June 29.

Charles was born in Pittsburgh to the late Joseph and Irene Grace. He attended Columbia University and graduated from Seton Hall Dental School. He played semi-pro baseball, while he obtained his medical degree in dentistry.

After obtaining his degree, Charles joined the United States Air Force, where he served in the Vietnam war and was discharged as a captain.

Charles met his wife, Carol, and moved from Ohio to Point Pleasant, where he opened his dental practice. He was one of the first to open a practice in the area in 1962.

During his free time, Charles loved to hunt and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He also loved to tell his stories and jokes to everyone he met.

He was predeceased by his wife, of 51 years, Carol in August 2011.

Surviving are three sons, Charles and his wife Tara of Point Pleasant, Jon and his wife Kimberly of California, and Dr. Perry and Lisa of Toms River; eight grandchildren, Shanna, Justin, Connor, Desiree, Carli, Zachary, Alexandra, and Mackenzie; and many dear friends.

Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, was in charge of arrangements.

Interment was in Saint Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt.

Dennis Wayne Holly, Jr.

Dennis Wayne Holly, Jr., 24, of Brick, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 29.

Born in Point Pleasant, Dennis was a lifelong area resident and 2006 graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School. He received his associates degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, where he was working toward earning his bachelors.

Dennis began his career in retail fashion with Abercrombie & Fitch, Monmouth Mall, and transferred to the Fifth Avenue Store in Manhattan. He later was employed by Marc Jacobs, also in New York, and currently was working at 10th Avenue Burrito Company, Belmar.

Favorite loves and hobbies include the beach, swimming, surfing, art, music, yoga, traveling, and Mexican food, and above all his family.

Surviving are his mother, Lori Pedersen and her boyfriend Julio Gonzales of Brick; his father, Dennis W. Holly, Sr. of Point Pleasant; his maternal grandfather, Walter Pedersen of Norway; maternal grandmother, Astrid Pedersen of Pennsylvania; paternal grandparents, Robert & Eleanor Holly of Point Pleasant; two sisters, Colleen Holly of Brick and Kristen Hahn and her husband Robert of Point Pleasant; nephew, Landon Tyler Hahn; a step-sister, Ana Gonzales; and step-nephew, Giano; and many, many dear friends.

Visitation will be from 2 — 6 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 5:30 p.m. a service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in his memory to the Dennis Wayne Holly Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o TD Bank, 3301 Bridge Ave., Point Pleasant 08742, would be appreciated.
