Garden Club Bus Trip

The Sea Lavender Garden Club will host a bus trip to the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, in North Wildwood, and Leaming’s Run Garden, at the Cape May Courthouse, followed by a lunch and wine tasting at Renault Winery. Ocean County Columbus Day Parade Dinner Dance

The Ocean County Columbus Day Parade Committee Grand Marshall Dinner Dance will be honoring Paul Barlo. It is a benefit for the parade and Italian Festival and is a celebration of the 22nd anniversary. Tickets includes a cocktail hour with an open bar, full course dinner with cash bar, entertainment and dancing.
The cost will be $85 per ticket.

Vic Kubu Fluke Tournament

The tournament will be held on the Norma K, which will leave the dock at 8 a.m. Tickets cost $60 which includes the boat ride, a T-shirt, fishing rods, bait, water and soft drinks, and a lunch buffet at Farrell’s in Point Pleasant Beach after the event. A $25 donation includes a T-shirt and lunch at Farrell’s.
Those interested in participating in the tournament should make checks out to the Long Blue Line and send them to: Attention Kevin Hyland, 167 Broad St., Manasquan 08736. Checks may also be dropped off in Mr. Hyland’s mailbox at MHS.

9th Annual 5K Run/2 Mile Walk for Kidney Disease

The IGA Nephropathy Foundation of America, which has an objective of eradicating this chronic kidney disease while also addressing the many problems faced by the patients and their families, will host this annual event. Amenities will include: a T-shirt, food, a DJ, face painting, children’s games and a gift auction. Breakfast will start at 8 a.m., registration at 8:30 a.m., and the run at 9 a.m. with the walk immediately following.
