The Manasquan Beach Improvement Association [MBIA] will host two events in support of Ivan Stoltzfus' cross-country trek on a 1948 vintage John Deere tractor to benefit injured service members. The MBIA will host a fundraiser at Leggett’s from 6-9 p.m. on April 25. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at Bouquets to Remember and Jaspan Hardware. Tickets at the door cost $25. There will be a send-off ceremony at 8:30 a.m. at Sea Watch Beach on April 26.

The fourth-grade teacher, Ann Marie Callahan, and her students will give a presentation and spread soil around the tree before watering it.

Divisions will include elementary [grades 4-6], middle school [grades 7-8], high school [grades 9-12] and adults [18 and older]. The spectators fee is $2 for students and $3 for adults.
