The Greater Spring Lake Chamber of Commerce will host Irish Festival: A Spring Lake Homecoming to feature music, authors, food, and even a soda bread contest. Fun for whole family!

This event has been rescheduled to this date. Join Allaire for a day of family fun and get a taste of the 2013 season. Volunteers are needed to support the long-term recovery of Manasquan and its sending districts following Hurricane Sandy. Venture Crew 82 of Allenwood will be hosting a pancake breakfast. Breakfast will consist of pancakes, eggs, sausages and a beverage. Tickets for the breakfast will be available at Applebee’s the morning of the event and are $10 for adults, children 5 and younger are half price. Relay for Life Team ONE DAY MORE will be holding a yard sale, with 100 percent of the proceeds to be donated to the American Cancer Society.

The Knights of Columbus Council 3231 of Manasquan and Sea Girt will host its spring blood drive. Donors are asked to eat before donating and must be 17 years or older, in good health, and weigh at least 120 pounds.

The first aid squad is celebrating EMS Week by hosting an open house [rain or shine]. Tour their newly renovated building, see the rescue trucks and ambulances. There will also be demonstrations of life-saving equipment, blood pressure screenings, bicycle and helmet safety training and much more. All ages welcome. Free refreshments and great giveaways from local businesses.

This event is hosted by Point Paws, the animal welfare committee of Point Boro.
