Gala Fourth Of July Celebration

The Fourth of July celebration, sponsored by Leggett’s and The River House begins with a bicycle decorating contest at 5:15 p.m. at the Little League Field. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Manasquan Coast Guard Station. A concert by Billy Lawlor will follow at 7:30 p.m. at Main Beach with fantastic fireworks to follow.

Jack Wright One Mile Swim

Saturday, Jul. 02, 2016, 09:30 AM / Kent Avenue Beach

ne mile, open water swim in honor of Jack Wright, a former Bradley Beach lifeguard and police officer who lost his life while on duty in 1976.

The course runs southward parallel to the beach between Cliff Avenue and Evergreen Avenue. Swim out to starting buoy and turn right around it. Proceed south one mile passing three rock jetties to second and final buoy. Turn right around buoy and head into beach.

Register on the boardwalk at Kent Avenue, on the north end of the promenade near the intersection of Ocean and Cliff Avenues. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Cash only on race day. Discounted pre-registration is available by mail.

There will be awards by age group and T-shirts provided.

Cost: $15 before June 25, $20 after June 25
